Amazon has released a special Reader's Edition of its Fire HD 8 tablet. The device is suited for avid readers as it is both a tablet and an e-book reader. The Fire HD 8 Reader's Edition can now be purchased on Amazon for $249.99. The tablet is also bundled with a year of Kindle Unlimited and a brown leather case.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Reader's Edition features an 8-inch HD color display with a 1280 x 800 screen resolution. It is slim at just 7.7 mm. The tablet is the same size as a book, which is the perfect size for reading.

The Reader's Edition also comes with the all-new Blue Shade feature that reduces blue light emissions that causes eyestrain and inhibits melatonin, which makes it harder to fall asleep. With Blue Shade, blue light is suppressed and users can have a comfortable nighttime reading experience.
