Mercedes-Benz has introduced the 2017 C-300 Cabriolet at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The entry-level C-Class convertible features a fresh and sporty design and all the necessary technologies that allow for optimal levels of comfort during open-air driving.

"Our new C-Class Cabriolet is the entry into the world of premium cabriolets from Mercedes-Benz. Sporty and youthful in character and styling, it offers unadulterated open-air driving pleasure all year round," said Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber, Board Member at Daimler AG.

The luxurious C-Class Cabriolet comes with a classic soft top which is available in three colors – dark brown, dark blue and dark red. The soft top comes with acoustic layers for better insulation and less noise. The top can be opened and closed in less than 20 seconds and even at speeds of 31 mph.

During open-air driving, the AIRSCARF neck-level heating and the optional AIRCAP automatic draft stop system helps provide a comfortable driving experience, no matter the season.

The sporty convertible comes with a C-Class Coupe silhouette, especially when the soft top is closed. Similar design cues include the diamond radiator grille, LED headlamps, long bonnet and high beltline. At the rear, the C-Class Cabriolet features a wide and sporty stance with flat LED taillights.

When the soft top roof is opened, the luxurious interiors are displayed. The cabin uses high-quality materials and comes with a modern and sporty design. Sports seats and automatic belt extenders come standard. There are also chrome accents throughout the cabin.

Customers can avail of the AMG-inspired Sport Package for sportier design elements.

The 2017 C-300 Cabriolet is powered by an in-line four-cylinder engine that delivers 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission. The convertible is available with a rear-wheel drive system or the 4MATIC drive system. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and attain an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph.

Driver assistance features include Attention Assist and Collision Prevention Assist Plus with Adaptive Brake Assist. Optional features include Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Pre-Safe Brake, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Parking Assist and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.

The convertible also comes with a high-strength body with airbags, kneebags, pelvis bags and window bags. There is also a roll-over protection system to protect passengers during accidents.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benze C300 Cabriolet will be arriving at dealers by late summer 2016.
