Fans of the WWE 2K Games are excited to know who will grace the cover of the upcoming "WWE 2K17." Rumor has it that New World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose will most likely be the face of the upcoming game.

One of the most popular names on the WWE these days is the first-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Ambrose. He also has a great fan following. He is not only good in the ring, but he is also great with communicating to his fans. Because of his overall image, it would not be surprising to see him on the cover of "WWE 2K17."

However, 2K Games is known to pick a cover star depending on the title's Showcase Mode, and not necessarily on the star's level of popularity. This preference can be noted in "WWE 2K15." John Cena was picked to be on the cover because of his and CM Punk's Showcase. The most recent "WWE 2K16" cover star, Steve Austin, was also chosen because the game title's theme focuses on his career.

It is still uncertain if Ambrose could land the gig, but his popularity and mass appeal could be a huge factor in the game's marketing. If he does make it to the cover, the next exciting thing would be the look of Ambrose's video game character. He already has a good character register in the previous title, but most fans expect a better game version of him.

So far, the confirmed superstars in the game's roster include Ultimate Warrior, John Cena, and Sasha Banks. Goldberg, on the other hand, has been confirmed to be a character available only for those who pre-order the games.
