'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' release date news: U.S. and Japan will get the game first

(Facebook/ LegendofZelda)"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is 18th main title that Nintendo released for the franchise.

Gaming enthusiasts based in Japan and North America would be delighted to find out that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be reportedly released in these locations by March this year. Europe-based players, however, will have to wait a little more until the end of the year. The upcoming game will be included in the Nintendo Switch console.

Several sources reveal that Nintendo Japan already scheduled the release of the new version this March even without Europe in the picture. It is said that the schedule for March was only finalized late in 2016. The upcoming video game is the 18th main title that Nintendo released for the franchise.

It is believed that the translation to different languages is causing the delay of the new video game. Nintendo Japan, according to reports, believes that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" should be included in the launching of the Nintendo Switch console, in order for the new device to have a strong lineup. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is also expected to be launched on the Wii U console, which goes against initial claims that Nintendo has already stopped its production.

In the United Kingdom, there are already several numbers of pre-order options for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Amazon is currently offering it at £40, while Game has priced it at £49.99. On the other hand, ShopTo has pegged its pre-order option at £39.85.

The upcoming video game will feature an upgraded version of Link and it is said that he will be able to use his shield to snowboard and use his makeshift gilder to make himself glide on air.

In addition, reports reveal that "The Legend of Zelda" designer Eiji Aonuma opted to go for an open-world game that will allow players to move with more freedom, which will be seen in their choices of which dungeons they will enter and exit from. Moreover, players will get the chance to explore the open world by walking or riding Link's horse named Epona. Epona has an artificial intelligence that aids Link greatly in hitting his enemies even when he is occupied.
