'The Incredibles 2' release date, spoilers: Dash rumored to be the sequel's villain; film expected to arrive in 2019

(Facebook/The Incredibles)A new rumor states that Dash is likely the villain in "The Incredibles 2."

"The Incredibles 2" is still at least three years away from hitting theaters, but fans are already ready to see the reported showdown of the Parr family against one of their own.

"The Incredibles" remains one of Disney and Pixar's more popular animated series. Children and adults alike have been transfixed by this superhero family who struggle with almost the same things that regular families do, like family dinners and school events.

With the way the first movie ended, avid fans have long been wondering who Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, Violet and Dash, will face next. There's also the added mystery of what exactly Jack-Jack's powers are.

And since no one can stop fans from analyzing every second of the movie and everything that director Brad Bird had ever said about "The Incredibles," several rumors have been persistently making the rounds for years.

One rumor that has never died down is the notion that the youngest Parr child will be the sequel's villain. Fans will recall that Syndrome had targeted Jack-Jack at the end of the movie, wanting the baby to be his sidekick. This has led to fans theorizing that Syndrome might actually succeed and turn Jack-Jack against his family.

But a relatively recent rumor appears to contradict that. Reddit user Professor_Wonder theorizes that Dash is the more likely villain of "The Incredibles 2" and even gave a convincing argument for it. The user pointed out that in the movie, Dash was always playing tricks and, even though Mrs. Incredible was against it, he received some positive reinforcement from his father. Professor_Wonder even added that aside from being a midle child, most teenagers act out when being forced to control themselves.

Meanwhile, some sites have posited that the two brothers might even come to blows, with Dash getting jealous of Jack-Jack's powers and the fact that he's the strongest member of the family.

Unfortunately for fans, there's still years of waiting to do before they see any spoilers, teasers, or trailer for the movie.

"The Incredibles 2" is expected to hit movie theaters in 2019.
