'The Blacklist' season 4 episode 9 spoilers: Aram deals with a huge setback

(Facebook/NBCBlacklist)Aram's life is in shambles in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist."

Aram's (Amir Arison) career is on the brink of a huge fallout in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist."

NBC has finally released the synopsis for the first episode this January. Titled "Lipet's Seafood Company," TV Guide reports that Aram will get in trouble because of his girlfriend. The woman is facing prison time after hacking into the FBI's computer systems and there is a huge chance that Aram will be implicated. If the investigation reveals that he somehow helped his girlfriend, he can kiss his career goodbye.

Aram's predicament could not have come at a worse time for the task force. It will be revealed that a mole is hiding in their ranks.

As seen in the promo, Red (James Spader) will discover there is a mole and is deeply rattled by it. He shares his findings with Harold (Harry Lennix), who promptly launches a probe to flush out the spy. The culprit is said to be the inside man of a dangerous terrorist. Later on, it looks like they are able to find out who the mole is. Harold is shown talking to someone, asking him/her on where his/her loyalty lies. From how it appears, Aram, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) or Samar (Mozhan Marno) could be the spy. Liz (Megan Boone) will definitely not sell out her country for money.

Speculations claim that the person Harold is berating in the teaser is Samar. Her hair and back are visible in the scene. Samar seems to be the most likely suspect among the bunch. She is from Iran and her past is sketchy. Her colleagues do not know much about her, other than the fact that she once worked for the Mossad. Samar lost her parents at a young age when the government ordered their massacre. It is possible that she has connections with radical groups.

"The Blacklist" season 4 returns on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
