Fans of "The Big Bang Theory" have one more guaranteed season to look forward to. And although speculations are rife that the upcoming season will be its last, there are plenty of supporters who wish the opposite. With all these rumors going around, what can fans expect in the upcoming season?

Reports have it that more Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) episodes will be in store for viewers. Long-time fans witnessed the couple's relationship blossom into one of the most lovable ones on the show. And it's no secret that Sheldon has changed a lot since he first met Amy.

More recently, viewers were awestruck when the two finally consummated their relationship. And while the idea of Sheldon and Amy getting it on is a bit strange, the showrunners managed to pull it off and make it charming.

Now, many believe that Sheldon and Amy might take the next step in their relationship—marriage. So far, two out of the original four guys have gotten married. Leonard (Johnny Galecki) is happily married to Penny (Kaley Cuoco), and Howard (Simon Helberg) is expecting a baby with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch). Since nothing has been officially confirmed though, fans should wait for the next season to see where Sheldon and Amy might take their relationship.

As for the rumor that season 10 could be their last, it mainly stems from the fact that the cast members' contracts only reach up to the 10^th season. Kunal Nayyar, who plays Rajesh, pointed out as much when he spoke at the MCM London Comic Con.

"Look, next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of 'Big Bang Theory,'" Nayyar said. But he was also quick to follow-up that he doesn't know what will come after season 10.

Most of the cast members have expressed their openness to continue after the upcoming season.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is expected to air sometime in September.
