Samsung Chromebook 2, which is currently available for pre-order and scheduled to ship on the 28th will not ship until the last week of May, according to the manufacturer. There is no mention of what is causing the delay.

Samsung's upcoming laptop will be available in two models: 11.6-inch screen display model with 250-nit brightness and a 13.3-inch model, both of which have 4GB RAM and will be run by Exynos 5 Octa 5800 ARM processor.

Samsung Chromebook 2's mighty performance with the Exynos 5 Octa processor, features a best-in-class high density 1920 x 1080 display with 250-nit brightness. The elegant and sleek designed device boots in less than 10 seconds and wakes up in less than a second. Battery life can last up to 8.5 hours. It is ready for Google Support for Schools and Google Play for Education. Out of its 4GB RAM, the maximum usable space is 3.5GB and the hard drive capacity is 16GB.

The models retail at $319.99 and $399.99 respectively.

Earlier this month, a video of Samsung Chromebook 2 appeared, presenting Samsung's new laptop with a Chrome OS. It looks impressive, even with many open tabs, including one that streamed music.

The original first-generation Chromebook is Samsung's 11.6-inch computer laptop which was revolutionary and inexpensive, looking like a sexy, plastic version of MacBook Air.

Now, Chromebook 2 is highly-anticipated, judging from the online buzz that it has been generating. However, after accepting pre-orders early this month, Samsung has kept the Chromebook 2 in abeyance until late next month.
