The latest reports on "Pokemon GO" indicate the arrival of legendary characters to the game before 2017 ends.

This new character release might include any or all of the characters that are yet to be featured in the game, including Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew and Mewtwo.

The characters are set to be released in time for the first anniversary of the game.

For the 20^th anniversary of the anime's movie, users of "Pokemon GO" may download special-edition Pikachu models that feature Ash's hats. Users of the "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" may obtain the code for the hats by pre-ordering tickets for the 20^th Pokemon film this coming July.

Mr. John Hanke, the chief executive of the development studio Niantic, also announced in an interview with a German newspaper, as reported by Mirror, the possibility of a follow-up to the "Pokemon GO Plus" wearables, stating that the firm is going to take advantage of the current wearable devices of today, while waiting for the augmented reality (AR) technology to develop.

Earlier developments with the game involve the addition of "Evolution Items" and additional character customization capacity.

However, concerns with the growth of number of "Pokemon GO" users are expressed over the rise of a competitor app "Snatch."

Entering the AR market, "Snatch" is a game that employs virtual packages containing real-life items such as free meals and even a Now TV subscription.

In addition to finding critical parcels, the players have to hold on to the package for six hours before finally redeeming the reward while other players try to "snatch" the package from you.

The Play Store page of the game states: "Snatch players hunt for virtual parcels in the real world around them, using AR and geo-location. By locating and capturing the parcels, users are given the chance to win exclusive prizes from the coolest brands, including real cash."

To complete the task of obtaining the prize, players have to defend their parcel for six hours by means such as hiding in a safe house of using virtual invisibility cloaks. The prize will be revealed right away and may be obtained by redeeming the actual parcel.
