"Pokémon GO" has a new update that focuses on smaller items. Those who have been waiting for new content or features, however, will be saddened by the fact that no big change is included in the new patch.

According to the official website of "Pokémon GO," after the update, a random evolution item will be given to the players once they complete the "First PokeStop of the Day" challenge, which they would have to do for seven days.

Avid players can definitely observe this change as they used to receive 2,500 XP and more items for their Phot Disc when they were able to visit a Pokestop daily for seven days.

The update also includes some minor fixes on the game's text, but Niantic Labs did not specify details regarding the matter. In fact, the patch description only reads: "update of 0.59.1 for Android and 1.29.1 for iOS."

As for those who have been waiting for news about the Legendary Pokémon, Niantic Labs chief executive John Hanke disclosed to a German publication that it will arrive this year. Additionally, he revealed that the company is currently developing a new "Pokémon GO" Plus-style wearable device.

"The games that we're building are built for augmented reality," he said. "We're going to take advantage of the wearables that exist today while we wait and work with partners to bring to market A.R. glasses and other forms of advanced A.R. technology," Hanke went on to say.

Enthusiasts believe that the wearable device may be released in celebration of the title's first anniversary.

Meanwhile, players of "Pokémon GO" can now, more or less, guess the Pokémon that could hatch from the egg they're incubating because of data miners who were able to crack the Gen 2 system.

According to The Silph Road, there is a rarity distribution applied to the Gen 2 creatures. It classifies a Pokémon's rarity as common, uncommon, rare, or ultra-rare. The research team has provided a comprehensive table on their website.
