PlayStation Plus Free Games for July 2016: early access to 'Kill Strain'; full list out soon

With increased focus being placed on the free games that are due to arrive for PlayStation Plus in July, rumors about them have been going into overdrive. In the latest rumors, some of the games that players are expecting to land as part of the lineup were outlined. Meanwhile, Sony has officially announced one title that would be available in the program.

As with previous months, the rumors surrounding PlayStation Plus' free games for the month usually peak before they are revealed. Often, the rumors turn out to be false and deemed as products of the overactive imaginations of some members who are eagerly waiting for the free games.

This time around, however, Sony has decided to provide additional information about one particular game that will be provided to PlayStation Plus members in July. It took to the PlayStation Blog and announced that "Kill Strain," which is currently in limited access mode, will be provided to gamers on July 12 if they are PlayStation Plus members. Others who have not bought into the PlayStation Plus membership program will also get access to the "Kill Strain" game but it happens later on July 19.

As of now, there are six games available for PlayStation Plus members for free during the month of June. These games include "NBA 2K16" and "Gone Home" for the PS4 console. On the PS3, the games offered are "Echochrome" and "Siren: Blood Curse (Episodes 1-12)," while "God of War: Chains of Olympus" is available for the PSP/PS Vita. "Little Deviants" is also available for the PS Vita.

As for the games that players are hoping to arrive as part of PlayStation Plus' free games offering in July, they include "Furi," "Carmageddon: Max Damage" and "Lost Sea." Others have indicated that "The Evil Within" will be offered along with games that focus heavily on plot such as "The Last of US," which could arrive for the PS3 console.

Finally, since these are just rumors, subscribers to the PlayStation Plus program have been waiting for official news about the upcoming free games which according to Express is likely to land on June 28. They have meanwhile made plans to take advantage of the early access to "Kill Strain" next month.
