Percy Jackson 3 release date news: No third installment but TV show rendition instead

Things don't seem to be looking up as far as a third installment of "Percy Jackson 3" is concerned, though an alternative in the form of a TV show could take its place instead.

The third part which would have been titled "Percy Jackson 3: The Titan's Curse" could have come out this year if the cycle were followed. The wait for it was however shot down as early as 2014 when lead star Logan Lerman himself said that the third film was not happening.

It was at that same time where Lerman also announced he was no longer returning to play the lead role before also sharing that the third film wasn't happening via MTV.

Had "Percy Jackson 3: The Titan's Curse" been done, it would have rendered important elements from the book where the main plot would have seen the stirring of monsters that would have possibly seen Kronos starting to regenerate and gain strength.

Instead, it will be interesting to see how the TV rendition will turn out. Lerman will not be around to play the lead role of Percy Jackson and CW is on the prowl for someone aged 14 years old to play the part.

CW has already allocated $12 million for the first season and the first half of the second season. With that said, all that is left is to find the right person to play the part where he will likely be one of the cast members to be offered 10-year deals. That is of course renewed depending on novelist Rick Riordan.

Apparently Riordan wants to work in close cahoots with the new cast. Riordan is also reportedly not too keen on seeing any deviations from what is actually written on the book.

Given all these latest murmurs on the "Percy Jackson" craze, the feasible way to look forward to is the TV series which can hopefully get someone worthy to pick off from where Lerman left in the big screen.
