Panasonic has introduced two Lumix bridge cameras to the Indian market — the DMC-FZ1000 and the DMC-FZ300. Both cameras feature 4K video recording with a frame rate of up to 30 frames per second and can also capture 8 MP still images from 4K videos. There are various 4K shooting modes including 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst S/S (start/stop) and 4K Pre-Burst.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 and the DMC-FZ300 also come equipped with the Venus engine image processor. The Venus processor boasts high color reproduction, superior image quality and minimal image noise, even during low-light shooting conditions.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-F1000 features a 20.1 MP large-sized MOS sensor with a 25-400 mm bright Leica DC lens with 16x optical zoom and f/2.8-4.0 aperture. The camera comes with the Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer with Active Mode for control against camera shaking and vibrations.

The bridge camera also comes with Depth From Defocus (DFD) technology that improves autofocus accuracy of approximately 0.09 seconds. The camera also has a quick start-up time of 0.66 seconds.

The FZ1000 features a high-precision and high-speed 0.39-inch OLED live viewfinder with 2,359K-dot resolution and 0.7x magnification. The camera also comes with a 3-inch LCD display with 921K-dot resolution. Users can frame a wide array of shooting angles due to the free-angle design of the display. It can rotate up to 180-degrees and tilt up to 270-degrees upwards or downwards.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 also comes with Wi-Fi and NFC for easy sharing of images.

On the other hand, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 is a rugged bridge camera that is an all-around camera for outdoor events, sports and adventure. It is splash proof and dust-proof which makes it the ideal camera for outdoor adventures. The camera can also withstand hard and challenging weather conditions.

The FZ-300 features a 12.1 MP high-sensitivity MOS sensor with a 25-600 mm ultra wide-angle lens with 24x optical zoom and f/2.8 aperture. Like the FZ1000, the FZ300 also comes with Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer to suppress vibrations and DFD technology for ultra-high-speed autofocus.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 comes with a 0.7x OLED live view finder with 1,440K-dot resolution and a 3-inch free-angle LCD display with 1,040K-dot resolution. There is also Wi-Fi for easy image sharing.

The two Panasonic cameras were recently released in India. They are already available for purchase in the U.S. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 is priced at $899 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 is priced at $599.
