"One Piece" chapter 853 will come out on Jan. 28 and it is expected to cover Sanji's escape from Germa and his reunion with Luffy. A rebellion against Big Mom will also take place.

Meanwhile, escape and family feud were the main theme of "One Piece" chapter 852 titled "The Germa's Failed Plan."

Chapter 852 opened inside the infirmary at Whole Cake Island where Reiju woke up with vague memory of the previous event. Sanji explained what really happened between her and Charlotte Pudding, and luckily, Reiju's wounds were healed quickly.

Meanwhile, Luffy and Nami were freed after Jinbe burned Mont-d'Or's books at the Prisoner Library. Luffy went to find Sanji, leaving Nami and Jinbe behind.

Back at the infirmary, Reiju admitted that she was investigating Pudding because of the latter's hard-to-believe good deeds. She recalled a childhood memory and revealed that their father was determined to transform the soon-to-be-born children into emotionless machines. To complete his evil plan, he had their mother undergo a surgery. However, their mother strongly opposed the plan and took a potent drug to antagonize the outcome of the surgery.

Thereafter, their mother's health started failing due to the drug's side effects, but she did not regret her decision at all. Unfortunately, the drug was ineffective on Ichiji, Niji and Yonji and they were modified. Sanji was spared this fate but his father, Judge, mistreated him. To ease Sanji's sadness, Reiju assured the former that he was not a failure.

Reiju urged Sanji to escape Germa since his handcuff was a fake and won't explode as she had secretly switched it. She emphasized that they deserve to die because they were a group of assassins, and she was also an accomplice.

In other news, Comic Book has reported that the iconic manga is about to end. "One Piece" creator, Eiichiro Oda, told promotional newspaper Dai One Piece Shinbun that they are 65% done in the series.
