New MacBook Pro to boast Kaby Lake processors; releases in second half 2017

(YouTube/ Apple)The new MacBook Pro is going to be sporting Intel's Kaby Lake processor for increased performance.

Apple has always been known to set the standard for efficiency and sophistication when it comes to technology. It looks like that the tech behemoth is indeed at it again as rumors of its specifications arise, and it is what fans are expecting.

According to the latest research note from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will be releasing a more powerful line of MacBook Pro with Intel's Kaby Lake processor, one that is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2017. If so, this means 2017 is going to be a year of faster CPU speed for the giant.

According to Kuo, there will be three batches of production for the year, and each of them will be carrying different sizes and specifications. If one thinks of it, this sounds like a good idea as it gives consumers the option to choose a balance between performance and cost.

The first batch comprises 12-inch MacBook models that will have the option to have a 16 GB RAM option, and are expected to start production in March. A 13-inch and 15-inch model will be guaranteed to have 16 GB RAM for all units, and will start production most probably in July.

The most noteworthy development would be the creation of a 15-inch MacBook Pro with a 32 GB RAM, and will enter mass production sometime in September. It will arguably be the most powerful by that time and will have redesigns until its release.

If all these come to fruition, the simple inclusion of the Kaby Lake processor makes a very big difference, Forbes thinks. This will no doubt address the hardware woes of the previous editions, and will ensure that Apple remains at its illustrious state.

If everything goes according to plan, speculations point to release dates sometime by the second half of the year, with the 32 GB RAM MacBook Pro at Q4 2017.
