Minecraft game fans have been waiting for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game and Walmart recently listed the Xbox One version as an upcoming product available for pre-order priced at $59.96. The game will be avaialble December 2014, according to the retailer.

When asked how the development of Minecraft for next generation consoles are going, developer 4J Studios tweeted: "Fine! Working with Sony/Microsoft on world size – not "infinite" due to save size limits, but a lot bigger than PS3/Xbox 360."

The Minecraft PS4 version will enable gamers to use the console's touchpad on its gamepad to set the interface and menu.

There are also announcements regarding saved worlds to be possibly imported from PS3 and Xbox 360 to PS4 and Xbox One respectively.

Xbox Division Head Phil Spencer of Microsoft told IGN in March that he talked with 4J Studios during the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco and said 4J felt good about their progress and they (Xbox) will be glad to host the Mojang's game in its platform.

In 2013, Minecraft for Xbox 360 version was first released, then followed up by a PS3 version. The games company was supposed to go for an Xbox One version, but decided to focus on the PS3 version first. Both 4J and Mojang are not rushing the development process so that the next versions will not be riddled wtih bugs.
