Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G news: 5-inch budget-friendly smartphone with 3 GB RAM and 4G connectivity released in India

Micromax has released a new smartphone in the Indian market – the Canvas Pulse 4G. The device will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. It comes with decent specs considering its affordable price.

"Our latest launch, Canvas Pulse 4G is our premium yet powerful product with Flipkart offering 3 GB of RAM and octa-core at a never before price reiterating our commitment to democratizing technology for the new age digital natives who want to be connected all the time," said Vineet Taneja, CEO of Micromax.

Micromax's commitment to delivering technology to its consumers is evident. Just a few days ago, the company also released two other smartphones in the market – the Canvas Mega and the Canvas Mega 4G.

The Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 1280 x 720 pixel screen resolution. In terms of dimensions, the device is 140 mm tall, 70.4 mm wide and 8.8 mm thick.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor and 3 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of internal storage but can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card slot.

The smartphone is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with a Samsung sensor, autofocus and LED flash. On the other side, there is a secondary 5 MP camera for selfies and video conferences. Both of the cameras come with flash lights to ensure clear and bright images.

The Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G features dual-SIM capability. It also has 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The device comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The smartphone is backed by a 2100 mAh battery that provides up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. It is available in one color – Grey.

The Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G is now available to purchase. It is offered exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 9,999 or about $150.
