LG PJ9 speaker: LG unveils levitating speaker

It seems like LG isn't waiting for next year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada, to reveal the company's latest gadgets. The tech giant has been teasing the items lined up for 2017, including the latest LG PJ9 wireless Bluetooth speaker.

(LG)LG PJ9 is a levitating Bluetooth speaker.

The LG PJ9 does not only boast high-quality music but it also blasts its premium sound quality while floating around. The device is a small egg-shaped speaker that comes in a plain white color. So far, there has been no official word if the speaker comes in several colors. The speaker hovers over its dock, which is called the Levitation Station.

The latest wireless Bluetooth speaker also features 360-degree sound, which will last for a full 10 hours. And even when tech enthusiasts bring the speaker outside when it's raining, the quality of sound is expected to be crisp and defined because of the IPX7 support.

Although the tech giant has teased a few details about this tiny wonder, the rest of the specs and features are expected to be unveiled at CES 2017.

"This latest addition to our growing lineup of premium wireless audio devices will not only turn heads, but it makes the bold statement that LG is committed to exploring new concepts and pioneering innovative audio designs for consumers around the world," Tim Alessi LG Electronics USA head of product marketing revealed in a statement.

On the same announcement, Alessi described the device as a balanced gadget, which offers great performance, beauty, as well as versatility.

Reports say that the LG PJ9 isn't the first levitating speaker in the market, but it is LG's first. More importantly, it's the first levitating speaker produced by a tech giant such as LG.

More updates are expected to roll out next week, during CES 2017, where the LG PJ9 will be revealed to the public.
