Rumors say Apple will launch the iPad Air 2 (or sometimes called iPad 6, as it will be Apple's 6th generation tablet) with a new waterproof feature, and even putting it in priority ahead of the iPad Pro and iPad Mini 3.

The next iPad Air is rumored to be a bit larger than the first, coming with a 9.7-inch all-in-one screen and an A8 processor chip to boost unprecedented processing power. Apple boasts that iPad Air 2 will run twice as fast in terms of general processing speed and graphics, compared to iPad 4.

Faster Processor

A faster processor chip for iPad Air is fast enough to run every app easily. iPad Air 2 is expected to be faster than the iPad 4 or iPad 3. The newest A8 processor from Samsung, which will be unveiled by Apple, will also be available for the new iPhones later this year. The A8 processor will assure that the iPad Air 2 will be the fastest tablet.

Faster Wi-Fi, Price and Release Date

Another rumor for the iPad Air 2 is it will come with a faster Wi-Fi, in a MIMO 802.11 dual band. Its introductory price is said to be at $499. It is rumored to release in the last quarter of 2014.

Speedy Screen

ZDNet discusses the possibility that the iPad Air 2 may have a screen made using an innovative process called Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) , just like iPad Air. The IGZO technology offers higher 'reaction speed', meaning, motion, particularly games, will be rendered more effectively. This is greater electron mobility, with the zinc replacing the silicon in current displays, which is 40 times quicker.

Touch ID and Enhanced Camera

The fingerprint sensor that iPhone 5s owners use to unlock their devices is expected to appear in iPad Air 2. An improved 8 megapixel camera is expected in the upcoming iPad Air. It will have better quality in images, zoom and stills performance.
