The much rumored smaller brother to HTC's flagship HTC One M8 will have three skins: grey, silver and gold. And it also has a new name, the HTC One Mini 2.

Serial leaker @evleaks has made public a pretty impressive press photo of the upcoming HTC One Mini 2. The studio shot shows the HTC One Mini 2 in its three color guises.

It also seems to confirm the new smartphone carries a 13 megapixel camera instead of the 4- megapixel Ultrapixel camera on the larger HTC One M8. The leaked photo shows the rear of the new smartphone only has a single shooter.

Analysts said this could mean that instead of using Ultrapixel technology in the HTC One Mini 2, HTC could use the same 13 megapixel shooter on the Desire 816. The HTC One Mini 2's lack of the HTC One M8's depth-sensing Duo Camera means the new phone doesn't have selective focus and other fancy effects.

Widespread speculation about the smaller brother of the HTC One M8 points to a machine with a screen size of 4.5 inches running the same Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense universal interface 6.0 software combination as the HTC One. Other leaked key specs for the mini me HTC One Mini 2 include a 1.7 GHz snapdragon quadcore processor; 1 GB of RAM; 16 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.

The HTC One Mini 2 will probably go on sale for $99 on contract, the same price as the HTC One Mini on AT&T. A $200 contract price for the Mini (similar to the HTC One) is very probable.
