With the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) June 10-12 event drawing closer, Microsoft has released a video teaser for its next-generation gaming console Xbox One. The video includes a glimpse of a possible Halo 5, Halo 5 being the next chapter in the famous first-person shooter video game series Halo.

However, 343 Industries, the developer of Halo, replied in a forum that the images in the video are just placeholders and not "indicative of future game content." That means Halo 5 still has no definitive confirmation, though a representative wrote that the Halo journey would begin in 2014, and there will be more details announced during E3 2014.

In 2013, Microsoft announced at E3 that there is an upcoming Halo FPS (first-person shooter), and the gaming world believes this will be revealed during E3 this year for the Xbox One; otherwise the Halo Xbox One logo would not have appeared in a video by animation production studio Axis.

When discussing what is next in the gaming industry with Fortune in late April, Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's Xbox division, again mentioned there will be revealing of details at E3 2014. He said they have a strong lineup of games in the pipeline, which details the world will hear at E3 2014. According to Spencer, there are exclusives in development, as well as games such as Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, Halo and Quantum Break.

At E3 2014, Microsoft Studios will be the presenter during the first press conference on June 9, entitled Xbox: "Game On." This will be followed by Electronic Arts (maker of Titanfall), Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed), and Sony (producer of PlayStation consoles PS3 and PS4), which will conclude the day. E3 will then officially start on June 10 and will run until June 12.
