GTA 5 PC release date: Change.org petition surpasses 700,000 signatures, launch expected soon?

When the Grand Theft Auto V game landed on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last September 2013, the gaming world was taken by storm, and the game has since been making headlines and breaking records.

GTA V then got a critical reception, generated $800 million in a day and over $1 billion in three days. The open-world game likewise shipped 32.5 million copies, got outstanding reviews and is among the most successful games from Rockstar Games. However, the best is yet to come.

There is a wide anticipation that GTA V will not be available excluslively to consoles, but that it will come to the PC world in 2014.

According to sources from Eurogamer, the game was rumored to be out for PC in early 2014.

First, it was expected to land on PC on November 22, 2013, and later pushed to December during the holiday season. Obviously, it never happened.

In 2008, GTA IV was released in April for consoles. It then came to PCs in December of the same year, which is specifically, 217 days after first landing on consoles. By comparison, it is now more than 216 days since GTA V landed for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Now, the demand to petition for the open-world game GTA V PC release on Change.org already garnered over  700,000 signatures. It started with 650,000 signatures early this year and now has about 702,000.

The petition on change.org site states: "Because GTA is an amazing game and the idea of it not being on PC is a mistake!"
