'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 premiere spoilers: Andrew continues to make trouble for Alex and Jo?

(Facebook/GreysAnatomy)Jo has a lot of explaining to do in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers) are in a bad place in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, as she still refuses to tell him the truth behind her rejection. She may even use Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti) to push her boyfriend further away in the upcoming episodes.

Fans of the pair were heartbroken when Jo turned down Alex's proposal of marriage. Many thought it was all in the bag, considering how they both adore each other. While it was certainly worrying how she initially refused to take the engagement ring, there seemed to be no other reason for it than making Alex sweat a little. When Jo eventually told him "no," it came as a shock. She hinted that something she did in the past was stopping her from marrying him. Later on, it was revealed that Jo was already married to a violent man.

Luddington shared her thoughts about it on Entertainment Weekly.

"Relationships like that are really, really complicated. It's not about necessarily being a strong woman or not being a strong woman, it's about someone being a master manipulator within that relationship. I think she feels powerless when she was with him, and then she finally had a moment where she got to be free of him. I do question whether if he showed up again would that be how she feels? Obviously she's terrified," she said.

Meanwhile, viewers cannot help but see the chemistry between Jo and Andrew in the last season when she chose him as her crying shoulder. She told the intern the truth, and when Alex walked in on them in what looked like a compromising situation, he went insane. Alex punched Andrew, thinking he was hitting on Jo. TV Line reports that it will be interesting if Jo continues going to Andrew for advice in the new installment. She will probably make problems for him and Maggie (Kelly McCreary) too. Will it somehow be a season of break ups?

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will air this fall on ABC.
