Far Harbor is set in Maine's apocalyptic-themed tourist destination, the Bar Harbor. It is reportedly the biggest land area that game developer Bethesda has ever created for an expansion content.

The storyline for this DLC starts with the new case from Valentine's Detective Agency. Players will be hunting down a young woman and secret colony of synths. Far Harbor is an island found off the coast of Maine and it contains higher levels of radiation. As tension arises between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople, players have to bring peace to the land.

The expansion contains more quests and settlements that gamers can explore. It also includes dangerous and creatures which could lead the death of the characters. It will also introduce "higher-level" armor and weapons.

Far Harbor, which has a price tag of $25, is slated to release on Thursday, May 19, to all platforms.
