Western fans of "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" may finally able to own the much-awaited sequel, "Hacker's Memory." A trademark filing was seen in Europe, indicating that the title will be coming very soon.

The English version of "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory" has been awaited for a while after its hit debut in Japan. The trademark is reportedly a legitimate source, sparking the hope that its international release will come sooner than expected.

It could be remembered that "Hacker's Memory" was confirmed to only be available in Japan this year, so the news about its western release came as a surprise. The title is said to take the story from the events of the first "Cyber Sleuth" game from the standpoint of the classic character, Keisuke Amazawa.

The story begins with Keisuke being wrongfully charged for a crime he did not do, so he joins a team of hackers in the digital world to save his reputation. He will eventually meet and befriend a number of Digimon, and together, they will face the obstacles in the dimension.

As for the release date, no specific details has been released as of this writing. However, fans believe that the registered trademark in Europe is a great indication that it will soon come to their location, even if it was announced to have an early 2018 arrival. After all, "Digimon World: Next Order" also arrived earlier than the slated launch.

Currently, fans are expecting that "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory" will have an English voice over, although it is certain that the game will have German and English subtitles. Also, the rumor that it will include a female protagonist might not come to fruition.

The title, when it comes out, will be available for the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita.
