'Clash of Clans' update based on fan requests to be released end of August

(Facebook / Clash of Clans)"Clash of Clans" remains to be one of the most popular games on mobile phones. The game is constantly updated with another update scheduled to happen soon.

It looks like developer Supercell is giving "Clash of Clans" players something to look forward to when August ends with rumors of a massive update making the rounds. The update is reportedly based on gamers' requests.

Yibada reports that the update will include an upgrade to Town Hall levels 1 to 10, more achievements, arranged wars, and sleep mode inclusion. The May update made by Supercell only included Town Hall Level 11 and up and it was met by massive complaints by players who have not yet reached the level. The update is also believed to introduce "Friendly Challenges" to add to the existing Level 8 Giant challenge and Level 14 Archer Tower challenge.

"Clash of Clans" is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) strategy game set in the medieval times. It was one of, if not the first game of its kind, and its success has inspired the development of other games with similar concept. The players get to customize villages and build an army to battle the opponents. A player may join a clan or choose to be on his own.

In building a village, resources found in the game may be used to build walls and other structures to protect the place from the enemies. Trophies and resources from enemy attackers may be used to further enhance the structure. Traps may also be made in order for the enemies to be defeated before actually setting foot on the village.

Barracks are built for trainings, while A Spell Factory is provided for and the potion may be brought to the laboratory. There are different strengths and weaknesses to be explored in building the army and battling with the enemies.

It was not until the update Clan Wars was released when an actual war between clans was introduced in the game.
