Six months into their divorce, Hollywood's former "power couple" — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt — are reportedly on speaking terms again.

"[Brad's] much happier. He's very relieved that things are not playing out in public anymore," a source tells PEOPLE.com, adding, "It was a rough time, but they were able to resolve it. This is a work in progress."

Jolie, in an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America" said, "We are focusing on the health of the family. And so, we will be stronger when we come out of this because that's what we're determined to do as a family."

This statement was made in reference to their divorce which, according to her, was for the "health of the family".

In the same interview, when asked if she still believes that Pitt is a wonderful father to their children and if he is still a part of the family, she responded, "Of course. We will always be a family, always."

Jolie was promoting her new film "First They Killed My Father" which was shot in Cambodia, the country where her eldest adopted child Maddox, 15, was born. The film is expected to come out on Netflix this year.

The parents of six have decided to settle their divorce privately and to work together to reunify their family. Pitt was initially allowed monitored visits with Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins Knox and Viviene.

PEOPLE.com also reports that according to an unnamed insider, Pitt has been spending more time with the kids when they are in Los Angeles. "He has even spent some time with Maddox and Pax. Things are definitely calming down," added the insider.

Jolie filed for divorce after two years of marriage in September 2016 where Pitt faced child abuse accusations, which he has since been absolved of.
