While TLC hasn't released any official statement on whether it will renew its reality series "Sister Wives" for a season 8, rumors claiming that the show will be canceled continue to persist.

According to reports, there is bleak chance for "Sister Wives" to have another season as, allegedly, Kody Brown's legal wife, Robyn, and other "spiritual wives," are planning to abandon him following his plan to add two more wives.

It can be recalled that this is not the first time for Brown to be rumored on planning to add two more wives. A few months back, he was rumored to be planning to add two more women to his already polygamous household, and, allegedly, the said women are both named Amanda. 

However, the latest in the rumor mill is that Brown has even resorted to legal actions in order to prevent his wives from leaving him so that the reality series can be picked up for another season. After all, without the wives, some people opine that the show would be boring.

Rumor has it that the case Brown filed is to appeal Utah's law on polygamy, which prohibits the said act. If this is true, there are those who believe that Brown's move may have something to do with appeasing his wives who have threatened to leave him after he allegedly expressed his desire to marry two more women.

On the other hand, while it's true that the reality series will lose its excitement if ever the wives left Brown, there are those who opine that it would be better for the wives to leave Brown and for TLC to come up with a spin-off series featuring the wives instead.

It was reported last month that Brown's only source of income is the one TLC pays for his appearance on "Sister Wives." In the event that the reality series that follows the life of a polygamous family is really canceled because of Brown's alleged plan of adding two more wives, it is no surprise for some people now why Brown is bent on having the show renewed for another season.

Will "Sister Wives" have a season 8? Only time will tell.
